Part Time-Recptionist/Bookstore Clerk

Location: Whiteville Branch Campus
Hours/Days: Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
25 hours per week with 1 hour for lunch

Encompasses a broad range of duties in Student Services and Business Office functions. Accountability encompasses the Whiteville Branch campus. Reports to the Coordinator of Whiteville Branch Campus/VP of Student Services.

Required Qualifications

Must have a High School Diploma or an Equivalent. Technical Diploma or Associate Degree
preferred.

Must have a strong background in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word). QuickBooks knowledge
is a plus.

Must have a strong background in Customer Service.
Dependability and punctuality is a must.

Must have a valid Driver’s License.

Must be able to bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Receives visitors to the Whiteville campus.
Answers telephone calls coming into the Whiteville campus.
Process incoming mail and faxed communications to the Whiteville campus.
Provides information to the public regarding the college’s program offerings, services, policies, and functions.
Provide Student Services Office functions as follows:
Disseminate information about program requirements and enrollment procedures.
Contact students to assist in filling vacancies in programs.
Perform Business Office functions as follows:
Maintain the bookstore for the Branch campus (purchasing, receiving deliveries,
returns, inventory, etc.)
Collect, process, enter, and deposit all cash receipts for campus.
Enter data in Banner for Accounts Receivable
Update costs sheets for Branch campus.
Assist Whiteville Branch Campus Coordinator as requested.
Coordinate the in-house scheduling of Branch campus functions/prepare facility for functions.
Perform other duties as assigned.
