About
The Industrial Maintenance Integrated Automation program provides students with a thorough understanding of the theory and operation of industrial plants and advanced manufacturing systems. Students gain the skills necessary to become technicians and to advance in the field of machine and equipment troubleshooting and repair. Instruction consists of both classroom and practical application work involving machine shop, electricity, mechanical power transmission, hydraulics, pneumatics, and programmable logic controllers. Industrial maintenance work is characterized by variety because each equipment repair job presents a different problem requiring the knowledge to diagnose and repair. Students gain the skills necessary to become successful in an advanced manufacturing position. These technicians are responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining the electronic equipment in manufacturing environments such as PLCs, Robotics, and Human Machine Interfaces. Students enrolled in this program of study will attain a College of Applied Technology diploma.
