Dr. Jeff Sisk
Dr. Jeff Sisk was appointed President of the Tennessee College of Applied Technology Jackson on July 1, 2011 and the Tennessee College of Applied Technology Whiteville on January 1, 2018. Dr. Sisk has also served as an Assistant Director, Student Services Counselor and Instructor of Computer Information Technology on various campuses in the technical college system.
For the past 22 years, his career has focused on helping students learn the skills necessary to be successful in the workplace. In his current role, he has overall responsibility for operations, academics, strategic planning and budgeting for both colleges and their 32 instructional programs, 67 staff and faculty members, 7 instructional sites, 800 students and a total operating budget of $7 million.
He earned a Doctorate of Education Degree (Ed.D.) from the University of Memphis in Higher & Adult Education. His Master’s Degree (M.S.) is in Educational Leadership, also from the University of Memphis. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) from Lambuth University and an Associate of Applied Science Degree (A.A.S.) from Jackson State Community College. His research interests include female adult learners pursuing training preparing them for nontraditional occupations, as well as the Experiential Learning Theory applied to technical education settings.
He and his wife Stephanie are life-long residents of Madison County, Tennessee and currently reside in Medon.
